In a creative
attempt to drum up business, the Menzies Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre
is launching a ‘meeting amnesty’ for
two days (10 and 17 January 2011).
companies are able to book the hotel’s new ‘Premier Meetings’ concept on a
pro-bono basis for these two days. In order to qualify for the
complimentary trial for up to 10
delegates, corporate bookers must be able to prove they are already holding a
provisional booking for up to 10 guests in another property in the Bedfordshire
and Cambridgeshire vicinity.
“As we all
know, service is one of the key criterions of choice for conference and event
bookers,” says the hotel’s GM, Shaun van Looy. “It is very difficult to
demonstrate service levels through marketing material, hence we want clients to
partake first hand at one of the amnesty days.”
