De Vere & Intercontinental scoop prizes at Hotel Marketing Awards 2010

De Vere
Hotels, Intercontinental Hotels and Premier Inn took the top gongs at the
17th Hotel Marketing Awards this month.

The
ceremony took place at Simpson’s on the Strand hotel,
London and was sponsored by American Express. De Vere Hotels won two awards, which
were Best Marketing Campaign Hotel Group and Best Marketing Activity on a Small
Budget for its 10.10.10 initiative.

“The
10.10.10 campaign allowed people to book rooms for £10 around the Christmas and
New Year holidays, but only on that date,” said marketing manager at De Vere
Hotels, Resorts and Venues, Karen Argyle. “But both winning campaigns prove our desire
for creativity across all business platforms”.

Elspeth
Beattie of Principal Hayley Hotels and Conference Venues was named the industry’s Young Marketer of the
Year.
