Alastair Campbell to deliver keynote at 2011 Academic Venue Show

Former political advisor to Tony Blair, Alastair Campbell, is the keynote
speaker at the 2011 Academic Venue Show.

Organiser, Venuemasters, will also launch in the New Year a new website for the 2011 edition, which again takes place at the
Emirates Stadium.

’Puzzled by venue finding?’ is the theme for the
show, which will be held on 11 May.

Venuemasters expect 45 exhibitors
from top academic venues in the UK and Europe.

The warm up man for
Campbell will be CEO of the Events Industry Alliance and F2F
Events, Austen Hawkins.

Academic
venues have been provided popular alternatives during recessionary times and the
show exhibitors represent a variety of city centre, rural and coastal locations
across the UK. The University of Limerick joins as a new member venue from the
Republic of Ireland.

“We have a great selection of venues exhibiting,
including a number of new ones,” says Venuemasters Chief Executive, Terry
Billingham. “The seminar speakers also add a learning element to the show and we
have a fun feature, which will allow visitors to win a mystery prize if they can
complete a giant puzzle cube in less than three minutes…so we are looking
forward to another successful event.”
