New conference attracts leading names

The first ever Business and
Professional Services conference to be held in the UK will take place in Manchester on 17 March
2011.

The BPS Conference is organised by
Pro Manchester and will be held at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club’s new conference centre at Old
Trafford
. It will give delegates an opportunity to hear the latest
views of influential figures from business and finance, as well as those who
influence the UK
economy.

Speakers at the event, which
features key note speeches, panel debates and interactive forums, includes
Angela Knight, Chief Executive of the British Banking Association and Andrew
Bailey, Executive Director and Chief Cashier of the Bank of
England.

Pro Manchester CEO John Ashcroft
said the event should attract any delegate looking to engage with
some of the UK’s “most
astute, powerful and brilliant economic minds”.

“They’ll hear opinions about the
state of the global and national economies and consider the predictions of the
guest speakers about economic factors and trends in the context of changing
market forces and exceptional government policies,” he
added.

The event is being organised in
association with MIDAS, Marketing Manchester, the Greater Manchester Chamber of
Commerce, RMS and the Commission for
the New Economy.
