Lime Venue Portfolio figures show upturn in ‘unique venues’

UK event
caterering specialist Lime Venue Portfolio has reported a 52 per cent increase,
year-on-year, in booking revenues from its 100 venues in the period from
September 2009 to September 2010.

The group says its
end-of-financial-year results indicate there is a changing attitude and demand
for ‘unique venues’ by both agencies, organisers and the corporate market.

“In order to accommodate
this upward curve, we have expanded both our in-house reservations team and our
field-based sales resource,” says Head of Lime Venue Portfolio, Louise Amphlett.
“We believe that attendance rates are certain to benefit from venues which
display character and ultimately trigger recognition from delegates.”

Exhibition and convention
venues in the portfolio includes Dublin’s Aviva
Stadium, Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium; the Royal
Berkshire Conference Centre; the
Royal Horticultural Halls
and
Conference Centre;
Earls Court
and
Olympia Conference Centres
and the Twickenham
Experience.

Lime Venue Portfolio is a
subsidiary of the Compass
Group.
