£2m economic boost for Birmingham

The ICC Birmingham has won two international
conferences, which are expected to generate over £2m for the
city.

The European Peritoneal Dialysis meeting will bring
1,200 delegates from across the globe to Birmingham in October 2011. The Council for
Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Europe’s event is expected to attract 800 when it comes to
the venue in August 2012.

ICC Birmingham’s Director of Sales, Catherine
Newhall-Caiger, says: “In the face of stiff competition, these two conference
wins clearly demonstrate our reputation for being able to successfully host a
diverse range of international events.”
