York-based conference and events
agency, NYS Corporate,
has won a coveted place on the government’s Buying Solutions Framework
Agreement. The framework is designed to supply travel management services to the
public sector for the next four years.
NYS Corporate won a position for
all six lots tendered for in the latest round, and claims to be one of the few
public sector suppliers able to supply a full ‘one stop shop’ solution for
Buying Solutions is affiliated to
the Cabinet Office and the largest of over 40 professional buying organisations
(PBO) in the wider public sector. The organisation has developed a web portal to
allow public sector organisations select a provider, knowing that they already
meet stringent criteria.
Senior account manager at NYS Corporate,
Leanne Fowler, tells CN the
tender process was “very rigorous and time-consuming, with detailed questions on
each specialism (Rail, Air and Ferry, Hotel Accommodation, Serviced Apartments,
Conference and Meetings, and One-stop shop with ancillary services) as well as
generic requirements. To be awarded a position on all six is therefore
recognition of the comprehensive product offering and high levels of service
that NYS Corporate provides”.
Major corporate clients of the company, which reports an
annual turnover of £40m, include Siemens and O2 on the corporate side, and the
Home Office and Department for Work and Pensions on the government
