New show content for Confex 2011

Confex 2011 is to introduce dedicated content days, following extensive visitor
research carried out by the show’s organiser.

meetings industry show, in its 27th
year, is to take place at Earls
Court between 1 and 3 March

The content days
will include a PA and corporate day and an association day. Organiser UBM Live
will also invest further into the show’s hosted buyer programme to accommodate 250 delegates , following high
demand for places when it was introduced at the 2010

Confex’s Director, Alison Willis, says: “As we enter into a key year for the
events industry ahead of the 2012 Olympics, it’s important the show remains
fresh and inspiring. Visitors need us to raise the bar on engagement and creativity.

“Our audience
has changed over the years and it reflects the peak diversity in terms of the
sectors that our buyers represent, so tailoring content to specific audience
groups has also been an important factor.”

Pre-ABC audited figures
indicate the
2010 edition of Confex attracted 11,058 visitors, up two per cent on the
previous year’s 10,857.
