London events gain a poker face

A new
UK events venue for
entertaining clients is soon to open up in the form of London’s first official
poker club.

The
Fox Poker Club has been made possible by the former captain of the Harlequins under-21 rugby team,
Chris North, former Rank Group
finance director, Brian Mattingley, and the ex-chief executive of the At The
Races channel, Ian Hogg. It is also funded by the gaming website, PKR.com.

The
club will be situated on Shaftsbury
Avenue, on the site of the former Teatro members’ club, and will launch on 7 August. It has
been designed with a capacity for 200 seated players and will include a
memorabilia Hall of Fame and a restaurant available to poker
enthusiasts.

Visitors to the club can sign up for free membership or a choice of the Full House
membership for £250 a year and the
Royal Flush membership for £750 a
year.
