Virtual conference organiser ON24 has expanded into
Paris, France and Hamburg, Germany after the eruption of the
Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland helped business to increase by 30 per
ON24’s CEO Sharat Sharan says: “With reduced travel
budgets across Europe, more companies are
turning to virtual events to connect with customers and suppliers. ON24 has seen an uptake in
business over the last year and a half of over 30 per cent, which accounts for over 300 virtual trade
“The adoption from physical events to virtual ones has
exponentially exploded,” adds Sharan.
The company, which already has a large presence in the
UK, provides innovative solutions for
applications such as demand generation, conferences and events. It supports
seven languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Chinese and
Japanese) for user interface, content and online interactions.
A recent survey of more than 10,000 international
executives by ON24, showed significant adoption of virtual shows with 87 per
cent of the respondents, representing a wide variety of industries either
already using or planning to use virtual environments for all types of corporate applications.
