hotels and venues and took part in a ‘Leeds in Barcelona’ festival of commerce and culture.
The week of activities was organised by Marketing Leeds in collaboration with
city businesses, with the aim of increasing the profile of Leeds in Barcelona and wider Catalonia.
Royal Armouries International MD Jim Vincent,
was on the delegation and tells conference-news: “Going to Barcelona was a cost
effective way to raise the profile of the city and in particular my venue to
potential visitors both for leisure and business. My personal highlight was the
visit to the convention centre which I found most useful and educational and I
also got to know several of the great and good in Leeds. Such relationships will help my business in the
future and are invaluable.”
The LHA delegation (pictured at Leeds

Jarvis Leeds Parkway, Chevin Country Hotel & Spa, The Queens, The Met and
Welcome to Yorkshire.
There was networking with the Barcelona

key hotels and venues and a conference and travel agency buyer’s workshop where
buyers the opportunity to meet with representatives from Leeds and learn about
the city’s business tourism and incentive product.
