Flight Centre’s global conference and events arm, CiEvents, is expanding its UK operations with the launch of CiCreate, an in-house full service production division.
The company reports rapid expansion over the last year and plans to double UK turnover to £12m by mid 2011.
CiEvents UK GM, Penny Lion, says: “We have reached the stage where we need our own in-house graphic design and production division.
“CiCreate is renowned in Australia for being unusually innovative and providing everything from copywriting, graphics and technical specifications to stage set design, entertainment and full show direction,” says Lion, who adds that they are launching the services to offer UK clients an immediate local full production facility.
In the last six months, CiEvents has won new business totalling £2.5m, including additional events for existing client Thomson Reuters, and new projects for Hays, ASDA and CGGVeritas.
CiEvents is looking to appoint seven new staff across the CiCreate and CiEvents teams, bringing staff levels to a total of 25.
