Stadium Experience (SE), the stadium
marketing consortium that promotes football clubs event and conference
facilities, has pledged to continue supporting Portsmouth Football Club’ in light
of the club’s current plight.
Portsmouth is the
first Premier League team to go into administration following reports about
financial mismanagement. It also has an imminent nine point deduction, making
relegation from the Premier League all but a

represent stadia as venues. Portsmouth’s
Park is one such place,
with some of the best events staff in the industry,” chairman of SE, Tony Watson
tells Conference News. “We’ll
continue to support them accordingly”.
Portsmouth has been
part of SE since 2001, but is one of the oldest stadiums on the
“Portsmouth does have a number of meeting and
event spaces. However, being an older ground means improvements are warranted.
It’s not currently on the same level as their south coast competitors,” adds
secretary of SE, Shirley Pinn. “But, as we did with Southampton and Leeds United
when they both went into administration, we will continue to work with the
events team at Fratton Park.”
