Ireland’s €1bn business travel strategy

Tourism Ireland has joined the Meetings
Industry Association (MIA), as part of a strategy to bring €1bn to the country’s
economy.

As the founder of Accredited in Meetings (AIM), the only
meetings industry standard endorsed by VisitBritain, the MIA will offer
Ireland’s venues the opportunity to
become fully accredited under this scheme.

David Boyce, deputy director for Great Britain at Tourism Ireland, says: “Tourism Ireland is a
leading business destination and membership of the MIA reflects our commitment
to engage with the industry and our buyers. The MIA provides unrivalled access
to research, networking and benchmarking with other destinations, and gives
added value to our partner venues.”
