Tesco saves £3m with internal meetings plan

Event management
company BSI has saved supermarket Tesco £3m by deploying an internal meeting
room management system last year.

The saving was
made by optimising the use of internal meeting rooms at the company, with an
authorisation policy process controlling all the company’s external meetings
spend.

BSI group managing
director Trevor Elswood says:  “Managing
over 50,000 internal meetings per annum through BSI’s self book technology,
Tesco can now ensure more effective and optimum use of its internal meetings
space, whilst robust authorisation policies managed not only online but also
through BSI’s reservation centres, have delivered impressive reductions of 24
per cent in spend per meeting.
