Healthy future at Bournemouth International Centre

The Bournemouth
International Centre (BIC) says it has secured ten new events that will bring in
a combined estimated £8m to the town.

Bookings confirmed so far
include the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain exhibition and conference
in 2011, the Labour Party’s annual conference in 2013 and the Baptist Assembly
events in 2015 and 2017.

And the Fab at 50
exhibition has extended its 2010 presence over two halls due to increased
demand. It is estimated that, at an average of 1,500 visitors per day, the show
will bring around £500,000 worth of visitor spend in Bournemouth alone.

“These are exciting times
for us at the BIC,” says head of exhibitions, conferences and events, Clive Tyers. “We are
looking strong with all these future bookings. We are also working towards our
new status as part of the BH
LIVE charitable trust, which will focus on leisure, cultural
and business events in the area.”
