Kelvin MacKenzie, Ruby Wax and economic commentator for The Independent Hamish McRae have been announced as the keynote speakers at International Confex. The 2009 show takes place 24-26 February at Earls Court.
The speakers are the star attractions of the Confex Knowledge seminar programme.
Event Director Duncan Reid says: “In the current economic climate it has never been more important to ensure you keep ahead of the changes in the industry and be in a position to respond to them. Confex Knowledge can give you the inspiration to do this and I expect to see even more visitors look to take advantage of the free seminar content this year.”
Hamish McRae will be discussing the economy and the shift of economic power to Asia, as well as how technology interacts with human capital to shift competitive advantage.
Ruby Wax, now armed with a MSc in Psychotherapy, should have plenty to say, as indeed will former Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie.
There will be 55 free seminars over the three days in addition to the keynotes, including a session by former finalists on The Apprentice Kristina Grimes and Jennifer Celerier. Industry associations Eventia, EIA, AEO, SITE, HBAA and MPI will also be running seminars, and Conference News columnist Richard John promises good entertainment value, too.
