Hampton Court Castle opens doors to meetings market

A medieval castle in
Herefordshire is entering the meetings and incentives market as it approaches
its 600th anniversary.

Sitting on a 1,000 acre estate near
Hereford,
Hampton Court Castle has a range of rooms suited for daily or residential
conferences, hosting up to 180 delegates theatre-style in the ballroom, 2,000 in
the marquee or more intimate meetings. Among the venue’s planned offering are
garden workshops for incentive groups in the castle’s restored 100-year-old
gardens.

Operations manager,
Elizabeth Wells, says the castle is suited to companies looking to offer
delegates a more unusual and individual experience. “We already have experience
with the leisure market and felt the time was right to enter into the conference
market.”

The castle has its own
event planner to help organise events and source local products and services.
