Sheffield City Hall graduates

Over 40,000 people are expected to
attend graduation ceremonies in Sheffield City
Hall over two weeks, starting 9 November.

Sheffield
Hallam University’s graduation
ceremonies are held in the Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall auditorium and utilise also
every meeting space in City Hall. The ceremonies make up the biggest business
event of the year in the city and generate a huge economic
benefit.

Sheffield pop legend
Jarvis Cocker will receive an honorary doctorate on 13 November, as part of the
celebrations.

Conference 21 manager and organiser
of the graduation ceremonies, Grace Roberts, says: “The City Hall, with its Art
Deco surroundings, offers a magnificent backdrop to the celebrations. It is
appreciated by all our graduates and their guests.”

Academic events staged across
Sheffiled International Venue’s portfolio range from GCSE and A-level exams at
Concord Sports Centre to London College Exams at Ponds Forge and exams for the
Chartered Institute of Surveyors at Don Valley.
