Liverpool to host global meeting

ACC
Liverpool has beaten its UK competitors to host the global
communications and event management
company MCI’s management board meeting in April 2010.

Previously held in Monaco, Montreal,
Paris and Amsterdam, the two-day event will
see 22 decision-makers and directors of each of MCI’s global offices
meet.

Head
of sales for ACC Liverpool’s BT Convention Centre, Kerrin MacPhie, says that the
event will provide a platform to showcase the city of Liverpool as a key
business travel destination for meeting and event planners: “We feel privileged to
be welcoming MCI next year, as we can demonstrate what we can do as a conference
and event venue and also capitalise on what the city has to offer for in-bound
delegates.”

Director of event operations for MCI, Erica Fawer, says: “We wanted
to experience more of the UK
and have heard great things about Liverpool as
an up-and-coming conference destination and cultural
hub.”
