Banks Sadler not averse to Allergan contract

Global
pharmaceutical corporation Allergan has appointed Banks Sadler as sole venue
finding agent, and added the agency to its roster of agencies for event
management.

CEO at
Banks Sadler, Leigh Jagger, says the company is “over the moon” to have won the
contract.

Consolidation of Allergan’s event spend and a closer working
relationship across their agency supplier base will offer cost savings the
US-based pharmaceutical giant are looking for, Jagger believes. “We are already
working on the first event with them to be held early 2010, whilst the
centralised venue sourcing service commenced
mid-November.”

Allergan
head of procurement, Ronan Carter, says:  “As part of Allergan’s ongoing
Strategic Supplier Partnering programme, the traditional full-service events
agency model has been deconstructed to decouple specific tasks to the most
relevant partners, for example creative, travel, logistics and venue-finding.
After a full market tender, we selected Banks Sadler for sole
venue-finding.”
