Tourism Australia’s premier incentive travel event commences

UK meetings buyers have joined over 80 international
colleagues in Australia for
Tourism Australia’s Dreamtime 2009 incentives showcase.

Incentive
agents from 15 countries attended the buyer meets seller forum in Sydney after a two-day educational
programme across the country.
Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast hosted buyers from the United Kingdom and Europe.

“Around 2,500
face-to-face meetings will be
conducted in two days of appointments
at Dreamtime 2009, providing a
platform to secure future incentive business for Australian tourism suppliers,”
says TA’s head of business events, Joyce DiMascio.

DiMascio says
in the current climate of increased competition Australia’s hosting of
Dreamtime was very timely. “Dreamtime is crucial for creating opportunities for buyers
and sellers to meet and addresses the
need for Australia to be
proactive in ensuring Australia remains at the top of
international business events shopping lists,” she adds.
