imago to invest £200k in facilities

Loughborough University conference brand image is to invest
upwards of £200k in upgrading facilities at its Holywell Park
site.

Stage 1 of the refurbishment
project has already begun which, when fully completed in January 2010, will see
the fixed tier seating in the Stephenson Lecture Theatre replaced with a new
retractable seating system. Capacity will increase by 25 per cent to 200
theatre-style.

Renovation of Holywell Park’s
exhibition area last year saw an immediate impact with a 22 per cent rise in
sales revenue.

Imago head of sales and marketing, Emma Boynton, says:
“The popularity of Holywell
Park remains undimmed by the economy and we saw no reason to delay or
dilute the refurbishment schedule.
Corporate clients are particular fans of the venue, especially when larger
spaces are needed for unusual presentations and product launches. Having four-star
accommodation on site at Burleigh
Court is also a draw.”

The investment also includes the installation of a new
state-of-the-art BOSE sound system into the High Bay
area with
acoustic flooring.

Holywell Park was awarded No.1 Specialist Venue and No.1 Midlands venue by the BDRC customer feedback specialists earlier this year.
