Confex grasps hosted buyer nettle for 2010

International Confex, which returns to Earls Court for
three days, 23 February 2010, will bring over 100 hosted buyers to the show from
the UK and Europe for the first time.

“With a fresh colour palette, our campaign and website
will feature the new theme ‘surround yourself with inspiration’, encouraging
visitors to discover the most ingenious ideas amongst the 1,000 exhibitors at
the show,” says portfolio director, Duncan Reid, announcing new show elements
and a new advertising campaign. Confex is to move its PR in-house, from the
Davies Tanner agency.

The Theme Factory, PA Day and the Great Outdoors area
make their debut and education and networking will be high on the agenda as
usual, says Reid.

“In defiance of the economic climate our visitor numbers
continue to grow proving just how resilient the events industry is,” says Reid.
“A great deal of care has been placed in creating next year’s show features. We
want our visitors to continually be inspired by what Confex has to offer, which
is why we are pleased to introduce the hosted buyer programme.”

The Great Outdoors, run in conjunction with De Boers,
will be an area showcasing six pagoda-style peak roof tents encompassing the
products and services in the world of outdoor events.

Returning to the 2010 show will be the London Bar, Live Bar,
Nirvana, Advice Centre and CV Clinic and Confex Knowledge.
