BSI announces brand streamline

Procurement specialists
BSI, which turns over in excess of £50m in meetings and events, has officially announced, 9
October, it is to consolidate all group agency services under one unified
brand.

The group says the decision is driven by customer feedback and the integration of BSI’s
procurement operations in the
meetings arena with 2007 agency
acquisition Olive360o’s creative event management services.

Through its centres in London and Cheadle, the newly-cemented BSI Meetings and Event Management service will offer a fully integrated creative
event solution, venue finding and meetings management.

Director of business development, MICE, Paul Hussey says: “The clarity of
adopting a single brand identity ensures that technology innovations can be
rolled out seamlessly, preventing brand confusion in the
marketplace.”

Group MD Trevor Elswood adds, “BSI has always been a trusted friend
of procurement delivering significant
cost control and avoidance across corporate hotel and venue
programmes and, in the two years
since the acquisition, we have made substantial advances in marrying this cost
control expertise with the creativity required in delivering major
events.”

BSI’s client list includes Tesco, E.on, Cable and Wireless, M&S
and Dixons.

Other BSI trading brands, such as International Reservations, Abode
and ICOR will also revert to the BSI brand.
