ISES appoints replacement VP for education

The UK Chapter
of the International Special Events Society (ISES) has appointed Valerie Brooks
as vice-president for Education. She replaces former director of Red Snapper,
Damian Clarkson, who resigned following the catering company being placed into
administration.

Brooks is event
sales and marketing manager for the Bourne Collection, a portfolio of London venues which
includes Ronnie Scott’s jazz club and the Cheyne Walk Brasserie.

Brooks has
tasked herself with forging stronger working relationships with
UK educational institutions,
in order to pursue the goal of improving training and development opportunities
for event professionals in the UK.

“We’re
delighted to welcome Valerie back to the board. She was a key founding member of
the UK Chapter and will bring experience, plus new insight and ideas to the
table. She will have a defining role to play both in the 2010 ISES Regional
Education Conference,” says ISES president, Zanine
Adams.
