Conference Care goes large on purchasing

Conference Care is to centrally
manage all venue finding and accommodation requirements for the Chartered
Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).

The contract landed by the agency
encompasses all departments and has been awarded for a period of two years, with
the option to extend for an additional two years.

Conference Care passed a
request-for-proposal selection process to become mandated sole supplier, says
company director Chris Peacock who describes it as “an outstanding account win,
endorsing our reputation for unrivalled service excellence and customer focused
ethos”.

CIPS’ head of event management Sara Strid-Coughlan,
describes the tender as “comprehensive” and says Conference Care’s “strong
customer service level, vast venue knowledge, sophisticated online management
reporting systems as well as their robust sustainability programme, will add
tremendous value to ourselves and our members”.
