CCD confirms 26 events

The Convention Centre Dublin is on course to
open next year and has announced 26 events
confirmed.

Meetings business coming to the new venue on
the banks of the River Liffey varies in size from 10 up to 4,500 delegates and
is worth an estimated 66 million euros in economic benefit to the Irish
economy.

“Construction is ahead of schedule and
vigorous focused marketing has ensured a strong base of international bookings
and enquiries for years to come.” Says CCD chairman Dublin, Dermod Dwyer. “All
the CCD market feedback underscores that there is a large as yet untapped market
for Dublin.”

Developed by Treasury Holdings and managed by
The NEC Group, the Convention Centre in Dublin is
a 380-million euro investment and Ireland’s first purpose-built
international convention centre.

CCD is configured to accommodate conferences
from eight to 8,000 participants across 22 purpose-built meeting rooms. It
includes a 2,000-seat auditorium, 4,500 square metres of exhibition space and
banqueting facilities for up to 3,000 guests.
