The Connaught Mayfair hotel is being
renovated as part of a £70 million restoration and renovation programme. It
will be the first time in the hotel’s history that it will offer purpose-built
private entertainment facilities.
The hotel, built in 1897 and part of the
Maybourne Hotel Group, will have a number of new event spaces once the
renovation programme is completed on October 18.
There will be a ballroom, the first built in Mayfair for 80 years, with a sprung parquet floor offering
dining for 100 guests or a screening space for major presentations, and two minstrel’s galleries.
GM Anthony Lee says: “The new private entertainment rooms at The Connaught
showcase our continued commitment to offer uncompromising and intuitive
service, luxurious interior design and a true gourmet destination all of which
have long been hallmarks of The Connaught. There will be a celebration marking
the first ballroom built in Mayfair in 80 years.”
