HIC Wins £6m of new contracts

The Harrogate International Centre
(HIC) has secured four trade and association
contracts worth an
estimated £6m.

The Pet and Aquatic Show has signed a three
year tenancy after launching its inaugural show earlier this year. Asda returns
to the centre for its
annual trade briefing events and the Society for General Microbiology has
confirmed tenancy in 2011. NAFAS
(National Association of Flower Arranging Societies) has also
confirmed its show for next
year.

At a time when exhibition organisers are negotiating a
reduction of floor size or tenancy against tighter budgets, the HIC says it has
worked closely with clients to ensure a successful event.

HIC director Stuart Quin
says: “Naturally, we want all our clients to get the most out of their events,
and by continually listening and working closely with them we can achieve this
goal even though some clients may
have to trim back on budget. I believe it is because we have such empathy with
our clients that we have secured these four new
contracts”.
