Health sector win for Liverpool

ACC Liverpool is to host The Royal College of
Nursing annual congress in April 2011.

The event will see 6,000 delegates visit the
city and both the BT Convention Centre and the Echo Arena will be used for the
four day congress.

Confirmation of
the event reinforces the sector’s growing interest in the city. Other recent
health sector wins for the venue include National Cancer Research Institute
and the European College of Sport Science.

Brian French,
conference and events manager for RCN Events, says: “Liverpool is gaining quite a reputation for understanding
the needs of health-related symposiums. We are thrilled to be bringing our
congress to a new venue in the north
west. We have a significant number of RCN members in the
region and taking the congress to Liverpool
will bring us a whole new audience.”
