ICC goes nuclear

The International Convention Centre, Birmingham, has secured The European Association of Nuclear Medicine annual congress. The four-day event will come to Birmingham, 15-19 October, 2011 and is expected to attract around 4,500 delegates from across Europe.

The conference will also feature a major exhibition of the latest industry technology, which will be staged at The National Indoor Arena, adjacent to The ICC.

Director of international sales at The ICC, Catherine Newhall-Caiger, says: “The EANM is one of Europe’s most prestigious medical conferences, and marks another successful win for both The ICC and the city of Birmingham.”

EANM, a professional non-profit medical association that facilitates communication worldwide between individuals pursuing clinical and research excellence in nuclear medicine, last held a conference in the UK in Glasgow in 1997.
