Eventia, fresh from its main summer event in Brighton, has launched its new template for Standard Terms and Conditions for contracts between agencies and corporate clients.
The document has been developed following consultations with legal experts and the association’s agency members.
The template sets out key issues for inclusion in contracts including each party’s obligations; payment profiles; cancellation charges and liability.
The T&Cs include an optional section for use on travel-inclusive programmes, particularly those affected by The Package Travel Regulations.
Chairman of Eventia’s regulation committee Brian Kirsch, says the aim is for the templates to become an industry standard for good practice.
“We don’t intend to stand still. These new contract templates will be kept under review so that they respond to market conditions, and continue to meet our members’ need for a reference point for their contractual relationships with their clients,” says Kirsch.
