Darwin evolves at National History Museum

The Natural History Museum today opened its events diary for its new £78m Darwin Centre.

The Darwin Centre will be available for corporate and private events as from 1 October 2009.

Able to cater for up to 350 for receptions, the new events space will boast its own landscaped garden and gated private entrance.

Head of events and catering at the Natural History Museum, Zoë Watts, says the Darwin Centre and its gardens can be combined with the variety of exhibition spaces and galleries within the original museum building. They include the Central Hall, dynamic Earth Galleries and the recently launched Tree gallery.

“This is a really exciting time for us here at the museum,” says Watts. “We look forward to creating some memorable first events in our newest space and anticipate a busy few months following its opening.”
