High-speed partnership deal for UK and Swiss

Eurostar has partnered with another high-speed train operator Lyria to provide connecting fares to 18 stations in Switzerland.

From St Pancras International, it will take six hours and 28 minutes to Geneva, seven hours and 28 minutes to Zurich and seven hours and 40 minutes to Bern.

Event and conference venue KKL Luzern in Switzerland is pleased with the news. “Obviously, any method that promotes easier travel to Switzerland can only be a boost for Swiss business and that will include the KKL Luzern of course,” says its head of marketing and communications, Daniel Buchmueller.

“As we are situated right next to the station in Luzern, we always support rail travel to our venue as it is quick, green and inexpensive. We hope to receive more British companies holding their events at the KKL Luzern in the future,” he adds.

Tickets start from just under £100 return and can be booked with Eurostar.
