Dundee & Angus Convention Bureau (DACB) launches its new brand identity, 23 June, with a new logo based on the Borromean Link, a Norse symbol of strength in unity.
Since becoming independent from the local tourist board, the organisation has developed strong partnerships to promote the area as a business tourism destination.
The aim of the design, says the bureau, is to create a visual identity that makes it stand out in the conference market.
Business tourism manager at DACB, Karen Tocher, says: “The design is based on the concept of the Borromean Link and is closely aligned with the foundations that the bureau is based on: strong partnerships within the bureau, and between the bureau partners and the conference organisers. These partnerships work closely together in securing and hosting conferences within Dundee and Angus.”
Angus Councillor David May says the bureau generated £10m of delegate spend during 2008. “This demonstrates the impact that its work has on the local economy and we hope that the new brand will help this to continue.”
