The number of hosted buyer groups attending this year’s IMEX 2009 exhibition is the largest ever number forecast for the event.
The meetings and incentive travel event is due to take place at Messe Frankfurt, Germany between 26 and 28 May.
A total of 800 association buyers are expected to attend; 250 of whom will attend one of IMEX’s flagship events, Association Day and Evening, on 25 May. Also amongst the buyers attending IMEX are hundreds from the strong pharmaceutical sector, as well as meeting planners from brands including Adidas, Credit Suisse and Sony.
The show’s hallmark hosted buyer programme will also see more groups from the US, Brazil, South Africa, China and India than previously.
IMEX Chairman, Ray Bloom says: “The market is as hungry as ever to do business profitably, imaginatively and, increasingly, sustainably and IMEX serves as the ultimate business platform. Where there are risks or threats, IMEX 2009 will offer fresh ideas for offsetting and managing them.
“This year in particular visitors and buyers will benefit from an IMEX defined by the sheer number and quality of its collaborations – all aiming to generate long-term business value allied to short-term success.”
