Boris says Destination London will have Tube ‘fit for the 21st Century

Destination London, a new trends report from Excel London to be officially launched at IMEX Frankfurt later this month, has been endorsed by the Mayor of London.

The authors promise quantitative and qualitative research from over 300 event organisers and delegates, with insight into trends within the London conference and events industry.

Mayor Boris Johnson addresses the thorny question of the capital’s transport infrastructure in the report, claiming: “We are investing in large infrastructure projects such as Crossrail, the largest addition to the transport network in London and the South East for 50 years, and upgrading our Tube lines so that they are fit for the 21st century.”

The report is split across technology, catering, event, accommodation, and transport industries, specifically focusing on trends experienced in London and draws on comment and examples from London First, Visit London, Leith’s Catering, London City Airport, Blitz Communication and Accor Hotels.
