Westminster Collection to hold autumn showcase at Royal Courts of Justice

The Westminster Collection is to hold its Autumn Showcase at the Royal Courts of Justice, following a successful Spring Showcase, 5 February, at Central Hall Westminster.

The autumn event will take place 22 September, and Royal Courts of Justice contracts manager Gavin Marshall says: “As a recently joined member of The Westminster Collection we are delighted to have been given the opportunity and look forward to a highly successful event and party.”

The TWC marketing collective comprises 25 venues, attractions and hotels in Westminster and a recent survey of its members identified that, between them, £125m has been spent in the past five years on the refurbishment and upgrade of their facilities.

TWC CEO René Dee, says, “If evidence were needed of the importance and confidence that our members have placed in their facilities and the significant economic impact benefit they make in Westminster’s business tourism marketplace as a result, this is it.”

Dee points out that business tourism was estimated to be worth £3.2bn to London in 2006, when last researched, and claims the greater proportion of this is achieved in Westminster. He adds: “Westminster business tourism accounts for 2.3 per cent of GDP.”

TWC has also appointed Allyson Hargreaves, business operations director for St Martin-in-the-Fields, to its board of directors.
